Account Manager

Role overview

The Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between Hexive and its clients. The role ensures that client needs are properly understood, translated into clear briefs, communicated to the internal team, and delivered to the required standard.

The Account Manager owns the day-to-day client relationship and is responsible for maintaining client confidence, managing expectations, identifying opportunities, protecting project scope, and supporting the commercial growth of each account.

Key responsibilities

Client relationship management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
  • Develop strong, professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Understand each client's business, brand, objectives, audiences, challenges, and priorities.
  • Maintain regular communication and proactively update clients on project progress.
  • Manage client expectations around timelines, budgets, deliverables, and approvals.

Briefing & project coordination

  • Receive client requests and convert them into clear, actionable creative or production briefs.
  • Ensure the internal team has the information required to execute each assignment.
  • Coordinate with the Creative Director, designers, content teams, production teams, developers, vendors, and Operations Manager.
  • Track client feedback, approvals, revisions, and outstanding information.
  • Ensure client feedback is consolidated and communicated clearly to the team.

Scope & budget management

  • Understand approved project scopes, quotations, retainers, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identify requests that fall outside the agreed scope and communicate this before additional work begins.
  • Coordinate change requests and additional quotations where necessary.
  • Work with management and operations to monitor budgets and project profitability.
  • Ensure client approvals are documented.

Strategy & account development

  • Identify opportunities to expand Hexive's relationship with existing clients.
  • Recommend services, campaigns, content, digital solutions, events, production, branding, or other opportunities based on client needs.
  • Participate in annual, quarterly, or campaign planning with clients where required.
  • Contribute to presentations, proposals, pitches, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor activity relevant to assigned accounts.

Client meetings & reporting

  • Prepare agendas, presentations, status reports, meeting notes, and action items.
  • Lead or participate in client meetings.
  • Ensure decisions, responsibilities, deadlines, and next steps are clearly recorded.
  • Provide management with regular updates on account health, risks, opportunities, and client satisfaction.

Quality control

  • Review work before it is presented to the client to ensure it responds to the approved brief.
  • Check that names, dates, specifications, dimensions, formats, messaging, and client requirements are correct.
  • Ensure work is professionally presented to clients.
  • Manage revisions in an organized manner and prevent unnecessary revision cycles.

  • Strong judgement when managing client expectations and internal resources.

Preferred experience

  • 2–4 years' experience in account management, marketing, communications, advertising, media, public relations, client service, or project management.
  • Experience within a creative, advertising, digital, communications, production, or marketing agency is preferred.
